Today after watching yet another breathtakingly beautiful sunrise as we did our Bible study this morning, I thought I would devote Wednesday's Workbox this week to sharing a little glimpse of the work of our Father in Heaven, creator of all that is on the earth and in Heaven above - and of all the things that might make us think of Heaven, this gorgeous sunrise has to be the first. Of course, watching this today (this is a picture from Wikimedia, but it is the one that most closely matched what we could see out of our bedroom window at 6.00 this morning) we were minded of the famous hymn, Morning Has Broken...
Morning has broken, like the first morning
Blackbird has spoken, like the first bird
Praise for the singing, praise for the morning
Praise for them springing fresh from the Word.
Sweet the rain's new fall, sunlit from heaven
Like the first dewfall, on the first grass
Praise for the sweetness of the wet garden
Sprung in completeness where His feet pass.
Mine is the sunlight, mine is the morning
Born of the one light, Eden saw play
Praise with elation, praise every morning
God's recreation of the new day.
